NOTES

  1. This section defines the parameters that control the visualization of the entire model. The time step size, TimeStepSize, used in the visualization is constant and can be different from the time step size used for predicting the dynamic response of the system. If if also possible to select a frame to be used as basis the visualization; this frame can either be a fixed frame.
  2. The visualization phase enable the representation of a number of vector fields that are superimposed to the instantaneous configuration of the system. The visualization of a specific vector field is enabled by defining graphical parameters for that object. Specific objects allow various VfdType, chosen from the following options
    • STRESSES Visualization of the stresses in structural components.
    • STRAINS Visualization of the strains in structural components.
    The vector field scaling factor, svfd, determines the graphical magnitude of the vector field during the animations (Default value: svfd = 0.125).
  3. It is possible to attach comments to the definition of the object; these comments have no effect on its definition.
